Toyota Recall Update

We are aware that the recent Toyota Safety Recall of certain accelerator pedal assemblies speaks directly to the safety of some Toyota vehicles and has caused concern among many of our customers. Most of our employees and their families drive Toyotas, many included in the recall, just like our customers. So we understand your concerns first hand, and the disappointment you may feel from having to wonder “is my car safe to drive?”

Toyota has made it clear in their statements that this situation is rare and generally does not occur suddenly. For more detailed information, see the FAQs at the bottom of this page or go to Toyota.com/recall.

The size, scope, and speed of this recall effort by Toyota is unprecedented. Unfortunately many customers have mistaken the urgency of this effort to imply an immediate and certain risk. That simply is not the case. Toyota’s response is driven by an abundance of concern and caution for its customers. Nothing is more important to Toyota than the safety and reliability of the vehicles we drive every day.

Toyota has identified the necessary remedy and parts are arriving daily to rapidly repair customer cars. You will be receiving a letter from Toyota with further instructions as to when to bring in your vehicle for the modifications.
