What's New for 2019?

Not much has changed with the 2019 Tacoma, and based on how popular the 2018 version's been throughout North Carolina, we're kind of happy Toyota is sticking to what works. The majority of improvements are reserved for the TRD Pro trim, which gets far more off-roading equipment than the previous versions offered. That means you'll do well to look closely through the features and options offered with the TRD Pro, TRD Off-Road and TRD Sport models of the Tacoma offered here in the Hickory area. From special skid plates to advanced 4x4 and suspension systems, as well as a new "snorkel" high-mounted air intake that not only improves performance, but also looks cool, these are the perfect kinds of trucks for tackling any off-road adventures you have planned. When properly configured, the new 2019 Toyota Tacoma can tow up to 6,800 pounds with the Tow Package, and can haul a payload of up to 1,440 pounds in the right setup.

2019 Toyota Tacoma Performance and Capabilities

As a smaller truck - compared to full-sized pickups like the Toyota Tundra - the new 2019 Tacoma is more efficient than most rigs of this type, while delivering perfectly reasonable capabilities to drive around Lenoir and North Wilkesboro. Most versions of the Tacoma come with a 3.5-liter V-6, producing 278 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. If you want better efficiency, there's a 2.7-liter four-cylinder in the base level that's not as powerful, but perfect for someone with lighter truck duties around the home and for driving in Boone, Asheville and throughout North Carolina on a daily basis.

2019 Toyota Tacoma Safety and Features

Just because you'll be mainly focused on your new truck's capabilities doesn't mean the Tacoma gets the short-end when it comes to the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) package found in most of the new cars, trucks and SUVs here in Boone, NC. In fact, the standard TSS suite in the 2019 Tacoma makes it one of the safer pickups on the market. This package bundles features like a pre-collision warning system with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and automatic high beams, while you can add parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic control to higher trims.

There's a number of option packages and great features available in the new 2019 Tacoma, starting with a pair of USB ports, the Toyota Entune audio system, available multi-information display in your front dash cluster and plenty more. For off-road enthusiasts, choose a trim level and special package from our TRD lineup that will add extra stability control technology and additional equipment that can handle all kinds of rugged adventures.

As you can tell, there are several versions of the new 2019 Toyota Tacoma, a truck that adds plenty of safety and technology to its otherwise perfectly capable setup. Come on over to Modern Toyota of Boone today and we'll help you find the perfect setup of the new Tacoma.
